The phrase doesn’t even phase me. He says it to her, she says it to me, he says it to me, she says it to him. My reply, “Let’s use kind words” just doesn’t seem to have any affect.
All of this is usually followed by “I love you.” Which warms my heart.
Why the dichotomy? Beets me. I just try not to let it get to me. Yeah, I know, “How’s that working for you?”
