I’m not totally ready but close enough. I’ve been working on my Summer Play-Book for several weeks now.
I have a list of activities broken down by indoor or outdoor and duration. I scheduled each day with items from my list, for the first couple of weeks anyway.
To ensure that I am focused on the kids and maximizing time with them, I have cleared all but the bare minimum of work items from my Web development business.
My focus is on the job of taking care of my kids and the house. My work will be evaluated by my wife and kids. I’m using words like work, job, and evaluation because that is how I am approaching this summer.
I have been a part time stay at home dad for a few years off and on but recently it made more sense for me to be FULL TIME. It is a BIG step but one I am ready for. Now that I am focused I think I can kill it like I do every other endeavor I focus on.
